Craemer Yard, Hortonwood West, Telford

Having been impressed by our neighbouring completed builds, we were appointed by Craemer UK to construct a 13,000 sqm extension to their storage yard at Hortonwood West in Telford.

Across their two sites in Telford, Craemer manufactures a large number of high quality commercial and domestic wheelie bins for the UK and European waste recycling industries, and supply over 70% of UK Councils and municipal waste companies.

Doubling storage space at second facility

The team had to carefully work around the existing site and yard, whilst doubling the yard for Craemer UK’s second production facility. On site work included bulk earthworks, fencing and new drainage to manage run-off from the yard through a fuel interceptor into a newly built swale pond.

The new extension has increased the size of the site’s outdoor storage facility to around 24,000 sqm, including driving and manoeuvring areas. This ensures the company can avoid future bottlenecks when storing finished products and react swiftly to increasing storage demand.
