Project Specifications

  • Client: Housing Plus Group
  • Sector: Housing
  • Completion Date: November 2025
  • Architect: Design & Planning Associates Limited

Delivered for a local housing association committed to expanding accessible, sustainable housing within the community, this development comprised three two-bedroom bungalows and one fully accessible three-bedroom bungalow.

The social housing scheme was created to meet growing local demand for affordable, single-storey homes, particularly for older residents, small families, and tenants requiring accessible accommodation.

From solar panels to EV charging points, each new home was built to modern energy-efficiency standards. For tenants, this provides sustainable accommodation that is affordable to rent and economical to run day to day.

Given the site’s proximity to an adjacent railway line, the bungalows were designed with high acoustic performance to ensure a quiet and comfortable living environment. Acoustic garden fences were also installed to further reduce external noise, enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.

Bird and bat boxes blend into the development, alongside trees and shrubs which enhance biodiversity and improve habitats for local wildlife.
