Hazledine Park, Shrewsbury

Project Specifications

As appointed contractor on behalf of Shropshire Council, we were tasked to deliver the extensive development of Hazledine Park in Meole Brace, Shrewsbury. Located directly off Oteley Road, the ambitious scheme has revitalised the former pitch-and-putt site into a thriving commercial hub, strategically positioned to meet the growing retail and hospitality demands generated by nearby housing expansions, Shrewsbury Town Football Club and the neighbouring Stadium Point business park.

The project included the construction of three standalone commercial buildings engineered to modern operational standards. The scheme includes purpose-built drive-thru facilities for both KFC and Starbucks, tailored to meet national brand specifications, alongside five flexible retail units. Each retail unit is designed with spacious open-plan layouts, full-height glazing to maximise natural light and street frontage visibility, and dedicated external space.

Our comprehensive scope of works included creating safe and accessible vehicle access points directly onto the Oteley Road, delivering robust drainage and utility services, and forming an expansive shared customer car park providing over 100 bays alongside accessible parking and pedestrian access.

Successfully handed over in summer 2026 to Shropshire Council, Hazledine Park represents a key milestone in south Shrewsbury’s continued development. We have supported in establishing a vibrant retail destination that provides essential local amenities and creates sustainable employment opportunities for the surrounding community.
