In a vibrant town noted for its history, distinctive character and charm, Shrewsbury’s Pride Hill more than holds its own in the competition to attract footfall. A varied mix of retail outlets, a safe pedestrianised way and central location ensure it remains a key shopping destination.
Some of Pride Hill’s most iconic buildings add diversity to our retail portfolio and feature national names including Tesco, WH Smiths, The Works, Accessorize and Clintons.
The newest tenant is premium womenswear retailer Hobbs London, which moved into a Grade II listed building to open its first Shropshire store in August. The building dates from the 12th century and was built on the remains of the town walls.
Pride Hill is surrounded by some of Shrewsbury’s most diverse and dynamic streets including St Mary’s Street, Butcher Row and High Street, which offer a blend of national retailers and independent brands.
Major investment in new paving and seating areas at Shrewsbury’s Pride Hill has underlined its appeal as a prime site. The new social-style seating was designed to encourage people to enjoy spending more time in the town centre and has had a positive response.
