Pete Allworth celebrates 30 years with Morris Property

Site Manager Pete Allworth is marking a remarkable milestone this year, three decades with Morris Property.

Pete joined the company as a carpenter in 1996 and has since worked his way up to lead the some of its most significant sites. He first worked with the team as a subcontracted carpenter on projects including Stanmore Hall Touring Park and the Wrekin Nursing Home, before joining Morris Property. His first role as an employee was on the Armoury in Shrewsbury, where he was responsible for fitting the oak floors, the bar and additional work that can still be seen at the Armoury today.

As his career progressed, Pete moved into a Site Manager role. The first job he managed was the Guildhall development at Dogpole in Shrewsbury. Since then, he has overseen a wide range of projects, including a number of nursing homes, which he says were always a pleasure to work on. More recently, he has led work at Hazledine Park and Stadium Point.

Looking back on 30 years, Pete said: “It’s all been good. I’ve been lucky to work with so many good contractors and workmates, and with the Morris Property team, and I’ve made lots of friends along the way. Being able to work within a 30-minute drive of home has also been a real bonus too.”

James West, Head of Construction at Morris Property, said: “Pete is the kind of person everyone  wants on their team, and every client wants running their project. His experience, calm approach and attention to detail are respected by everyone he works with. Thirty years of service is an incredible achievement, and we’re grateful for everything he has contributed.”

Pete is currently Site Manager at our 28-acre Stadium Point development in Shrewsbury. Located on the south side of the town, the park is being built across five zones, offering trade counter, office, food retail and warehouse space, with both ready-built and build-to-suit options.

Everyone at Morris Property would like to say a huge thank you to Pete for his hard work, loyalty and good humour over the last 30 years, and we look forward to many more working together.
