‘Outstanding’ Considerate Constructor score at Unit 48, Centurion Park

We have been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) for our work on Unit 48 at Centurion Park in Shrewsbury. The result, secured on the first visit, places the project in the highest performance band the scheme awards.

The project achieved 97%, exceeding the 95% needed to reach the ‘Outstanding’ level. The independent CCS Monitor scored the site against all three sections of the ‘Code of Considerate Practice’: Respect the Community, Care for the Environment and Value their Workforce. At Centurion Park, that includes the care taken to protect neighbouring homes and businesses while the unit is being constructed.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) is a national initiative that works to raise standards across the construction industry. Independent monitors visit registered sites and score them against the Code of Considerate Practice. Scores of 95% to 100% are rated ‘Outstanding’, the highest of the Scheme’s five levels.

Unit 48 forms part of the ongoing regeneration of Centurion Park, which has seen more than £3.5 million of investment since 2019. As an established, family-run business with over 100 years of experience in the property sector, we believe that building well means building considerately, and this result reflects that commitment on site every day.

“We are extremely proud to have achieved an ‘Outstanding’ score at Unit 48,” said Conor Roberts, Site Manager. “It’s a team effort. Everyone on site, from our contractors to our suppliers, has taken pride in keeping the site tidy, safe and respectful of our neighbours.”

Mark Bennett, Contracts Manager, added: “Scoring at this level shows what can be achieved when considerate practice is built into the way we plan and run every project, not treated as an add-on. Credit goes to Conor and the whole site team, and to Trish and Claire for their continued support and work behind the scenes”.
