Inspiring the next generation at Millbrook Primary School

We made a positive impact on the next generation of professionals by participating in Millbrook Primary School’s Careers Aspirations Day in Telford this week.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Lloyd Southern, and Group Marketing Executive, Paige Eades, shared insights from their own career journeys and offered a glimpse into the diverse world of construction and property development.

The duo delivered an engaging presentation detailing Morris Property’s wide range of business activities to two enthusiastic Year 6 classes. Following the presentation, Lloyd and Paige answered a flurry of questions from the pupils, who showed keen interest in both property development and marketing.

Aimee Thomas, Assistant Headteacher at Millbrook Primary School, commented on the session’s success. “The session was incredibly well received – our Year 6 children were fully engaged and inspired throughout,” she commented. “You have helped us encourage Millbrook’s children to aspire, dream big, and gain a real insight into future career pathways.”

Lloyd commented: “It was fantastic to meet the Year 6 pupils at Millbrook Primary and share how exciting and varied a career in construction can be. We were really impressed by their enthusiasm and questions as they start thinking about their own ambitions for the future.”

The visit comes as Morris Property continues to expand its presence across Telford with several key developments underway, including a new ALDI store and industrial unit at Ketley, the regeneration of Oakengates town centre and the development of six new bungalows in Donnington.

Morris Property is part of a fifth-generation family business group which has been building, restoring and leasing property for over 155 years. The team are committed to not only building infrastructure for the future but also investing in the local community and talent across the region.
