From bricks to purrs: Morris Property supports local cats in need

We have donated essential items to Sleapy Cat Rescue as part of our commitment deliver positive impacts on the local community. The contribution to the charity near Wem comes as construction progresses on the development of four affordable bungalows for the House Plus Group in the town.

The new development on Aston Street, Wem will feature three two-bedroom bungalows and one three-bedroom bungalow, specifically designed to meet the accessible and affordable housing needs of the local community. Morris Property is following standards of the Considerate Constructors Scheme throughout the build, ensuring the project is executed with safety, environmental respect, and a focus on community benefit.

Sleapy Cat Rescue is a self-funded animal rescue near Wem, dedicated to helping cats in need across North Shropshire. Run by Eve Dodds and her team, the rescue provides shelter and care for abandoned cats. Morris Property’s donation towards the shelter will help support the team’s hard work before they are able to find their forever homes for the cats.

Conor Roberts, Site Manager at Morris Property, expressed his satisfaction with the initiative: “I am really pleased to be supporting the local community here in Wem. Many of the team are cat lovers, so it’s nice to support causes which means something to those on site”

Eve Dodds shared her gratitude for the donation: “We are incredibly grateful for Morris Property’s donation. Their support makes a real difference in helping us care for and rehome rescued cats.”
