What made you choose to do an apprenticeship with Morris Property?

I knew for certain that I wanted a career within construction, and believed that Morris Property would be the perfect company for me to start my journey. From all the great things I’ve heard about Morris Property, the choice was easy.

What was your first day like?

My first day was great, I spent the day shadowing my Mentor Ashley and the team on-site. This included the groundworkers, so I got a more in-depth look at the works and the processes they go through. I spent time going through the site’s paperwork to help gather more of an understanding of what actually takes place on-site.

What do you most enjoy about your apprenticeship?

What I most enjoy about my apprenticeship is that I’m learning something new every day. One of my main goals is to broaden my knowledge within the industry so this is perfect for me.

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?

In five years’, I believe that I will have finished most of, if not all of my studies and my apprenticeship with the aim of becoming a site manager at Morris Property.

What would you say to other people considering an apprenticeship?

If you’re debating whether to get an apprenticeship, the best advice I could give is just go for it. It’s extremely rewarding and with all the high-quality training provided, all you can do is just enjoy it whilst you become more advanced within the sector you’re studying.

You’ll learn more from an apprenticeship compared to just being in college, as you’re more hands-on and learn first-hand by actually getting to do the job you’re learning about.
