Our Morris Property team guided ambitious STEM track 6.1 students from Concord College on a hands-on site visit to the college’s new developments. 15 students toured the construction sites of the new boarding accommodation and the sports hall, gaining a direct insight into large-scale project management and construction processes.
The tour was led by key site staff, including Lee Evason (Senior Site Manager), Chris French (Site Manager), and Shay Austin (Apprentice Site Manager). Following the site walk, the tour continued with a detailed Q&A session. The team was joined by Alex Morris (Senior Quantity Surveyor) and Sarah Evans (Estates Management Surveyor), broadening the students’ understanding of property careers beyond just physical construction.
Sarah Boot, Students Futures Officer at Concord College, reported overwhelmingly positive feedback from the participants. “It was great to hear the students ask questions and learn about the construction industry and property management,” she said.
“The students were really buzzing when they walked back, and all seemed to enjoy it, and the staff did too!”
The site visit served as a powerful motivator, inspiring the next generation of engineers and architects as they plan their future careers.
