Health, Safety and Wellbeing
We have a comprehensive Health and Safety policy and are committed to providing mental health and wellbeing support to ensure our sites and teams are protected, supported and safe.
To ensure that we achieve and maintain skills, knowledge, training and experience, we ensure that our employees are highly trained and well managed, and that our records are constantly checked and updated.
Accreditations and Memberships
Our health and safety accreditations and memberships demonstrate our continuous commitment to safety on site. They include SMAS Worksafe, Considerate Constructors, Constructionline Gold Member, BHSE (Birmingham Health, Safety and Environment Forum) and SCTG (Shropshire Construction Training Group).
We have a wide-ranging training programme with basic, legislative and practical training delivered by Shropshire Construction Training Group, in association with the Construction Industry Training Board. From working at heights and manual handling to asbestos and environmental awareness, our training is designed to develop and retain a skilled, competent and inclusive workforce.
We are committed to minimising risk and keeping staff safe. Every month, our sites and workshops are inspected by independent Health and Safety advisors to ensure our working environments, teams and supply chain networks are safe and compliant.
As an industry we need to do all that we can to support our workforce and their families. We have designated Mental Health First Aiders and work with a number of local and industry specialist mental health support providers, including Shropshire Mental Health Support and The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.
We have also introduced a new Employee Assistance Programme offering free 24/7 telephone counselling and online support to improve mental health and wellbeing.
Wenlock Health and Safety Limited Award
We’re delighted to have received a Wenlock Health and Safety Limited Award for our efforts towards the safety, health and well-being of our employees.
