Governance
Our core philosophy of ‘Excellence as Standard’ guides every aspect of our operations. We continuously evaluate our performance and drive improvement by measuring against our vision and values.
We believe in clear communication, both internally and externally and our commitment to this philosophy is monitored by the Morris & Company Board through annual reviews. Our success is not only measured by client satisfaction, but by employee satisfaction and retention as well as ongoing progress towards our environmental and sustainability targets.

Health, safety and wellbeing
We have a comprehensive Health and Safety policy and are committed to providing physical, mental and wellbeing support to ensure our sites and teams are protected, supported and safe. Each of our employees have access to our Employee Assistance Programme offering free 24/7 telephone counselling and online support.
To ensure that we achieve and maintain skills, knowledge, training and experience, we ensure that our employees are highly trained and well managed, and that our records are constantly checked and updated.
We have designated Mental Health First Aiders and work with a number of local and industry specialist mental health support providers including The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.

Accreditations and Memberships
Safety isn’t just a priority – it’s a core commitment. Our health and safety accreditations and memberships demonstrate continuous reinforcement of safety on site. These include SMAS Worksafe, Considerate Constructors, Constructionline Gold Member, BHSE (Birmingham Health, Safety and Environment Forum) and SCTG (Shropshire Construction Training Group).

Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking policy
We are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards and combating modern slavery in all forms. We have a robust Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy which outlines our proactive approach to identifying, preventing, and mitigating the risks of slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains.

Comprehensive training
Our teams undertake a wide-ranging training programme with basic, legislative and practical training delivered by Shropshire Construction Training Group, in association with the Construction Industry Training Board. From working at heights and manual handling to asbestos and environmental awareness, our training is designed to develop and retain a skilled, competent and inclusive workforce.

Independent inspections
We are committed to minimising risk and keeping staff safe. Every month, our sites and workshops are inspected by independent Health and Safety advisors to ensure our working environments, teams and supply chain networks are safe and compliant.
