Isle Court Nursing Home, Shrewsbury

Client: Morris Care
Project: Extension

Our sister company, Morris Care, brought us in to build a 24 en-suite bedroom extension at Isle Court nursing home in Bicton, Shrewsbury.

The project included a two-storey extension to house general nursing and specialist dementia facilities and an extension to the kitchen and storage facilities, to reflect the increase in capacity to 80 bedrooms.

Each floor of this new wing includes dedicated nurse bases, a new vintage Morris Café, ‘Namaste’ room and two sensory Spa Rooms.

Morris Joinery provided all of the bespoke joinery, which included windows, external doors, staircases and internal fittings in communal areas.

Isle Court Home Manager Claire Smith, said:

“We are delighted to now be able to offer our specialist care and support to more residents within this community. The new extension fits seamlessly onto our existing building and brings with it some wonderful new facilities such as the Spa Rooms which provide such a positive and sensory bathing experience which we know our residents so enjoy.”
