LOCAL CHURCH UNDERGOES £200K RENOVATION

Miles Kenny, Mayor of Shrewsbury was joined by David Reece, Contracts Manager at Morris Property (right), Reverend Sarah Wood and Paul Taylor, Executive Director of the Veolia Environmental Trust (left) to celebrate a £200k project to update and restore a local Church.

Morris Property will dismantle the existing hall at the rear of Belle Vue Methodist Church and are re-building to a new spec which is slightly enlarged. The two storey link building between the hall and the church is being refurbished and a new lift is also being installed with the aid of a grant from the Veolia Environmental Trust.

Mike Hallworth, Treasurer of Belle Vue Methodist Church, said: “We’re really excited about working with Morris Property to bring the new Hermitage Centre to the Belle Vue community. When it is completed next summer, it will provide a first-class building which will be used for youth and community work in the area.”

The contract duration is 28 weeks including Christmas and will commence on 23rd November 2015.
