We are proud to be delivering a 50,000 ft2 extension at Melitta UK Ltd’s existing warehouse facility in Hortonwood, on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council.

Working closely with the Council’s Estates & Investment Team, the development will enable Melitta to bring operations currently split across two locations into a single, more efficient base. By bringing everything together, the scheme supports the company’s continued presence in the Telford, while creating capacity for future expansion.
The project has been funded through Telford & Wrekin Council’s Growth Fund and designed by its in-house property development, design and project management consultancy, BIT. As the appointed contractor, we are leading the construction phase, with completion expected in December 2026.
Alongside the new warehouse and office space, we are also delivering a range of site-wide improvements to ensure the facility integrates seamlessly with existing operations. These enhancements will help future-proof the site, ensuring it remains efficient, sustainable and fit for purpose as the business develops.
Councillor Ollie Vickers, Telford & Wrekin Council’s Cabinet Member for Economy and Transport said: “Supporting established businesses to stay and invest in Telford is a key priority for the Council. This project shows how we work alongside companies to help them consolidate their operations locally and commit to the Borough for the long term. By enabling this expansion at Hortonwood, we are strengthening one of our key employment areas and reinforcing Telford’s reputation as a place where businesses are supported to succeed, whilst generating additional income that can go towards providing front line services.”
Mark Bennett, Contracts Manager at Morris Property, said: “We’re pleased to be working with Telford & Wrekin Council on another project and to continue our construction activity within Hortonwood. The extension for Melitta marks the latest in a series of developments we have delivered in the area, and we’re pleased to support the ongoing growth of businesses in the Borough of Telford and Wrekin.”
Adrian Brown, Managing Director at Melitta UK Ltd said “We are delighted to be working with both Telford and Wrekin Council and Morris Property to being this project to fruition. The extension to our current facilities will improve efficiency, reduce our carbon footprint and give us some much-needed additional capacity to support our growth plans for the next decade”
This scheme forms part of a wider programme of investment by Telford & Wrekin Council to support business retention, protect key employment sites and strengthen long-term confidence in the Borough.
