New 15-year lease at town’s thriving Victoria Quay

We have attracted renowned restaurant group, Hickory’s Smokehouse, to our riverside premises adjacent to Brunning and Price’s well-established Armoury restaurant and The Riverbank. The 15-year lease to Hickory’s will see the southern style restaurant add to the vibrant dining offering in the heart of Shrewsbury’s leisure quarter on Victoria Quay.

It was Robin Morris who led the vision for Victoria Quay with the conversion of the Armoury building into the Riverside Pub and Restaurant which first opened to the public in March 1996. Since then, we have continued to invest in our buildings along the quayside attracting leisure operators, helping lobby for alfresco dining and generally supporting the town’s evening economy and ambitions.

Before Hickory’s open in December, the site is undergoing refurbishment and fit out with plans to build a first-floor mezzanine and balcony overlooking the River Severn.
