As a private, fifth generation family business, we believe our social responsibility policy and programme plays a vital role in the success of our company. Proud of over 100 years heritage, commercial success and the welfare of the 680 colleagues who make up the group business today, our family values run deep.
Our aim is to create a workplace in which there is mutual trust and respect and where everyone has a sense of responsibility for the performance and reputation of our company. We believe good two way communication with our colleagues is integral to our business success and to job satisfaction alike. A business where we benchmark key suppliers and customers are appropriately and professionally managed and connected with us.
Our Stepping Stones programme was launched in January 2016 to provide an opportunity for us to offer those who are not able to work, through no fault of their own, the chance to get back into work and continue with their professional development. Each year we are offering two enthusiastic individuals a six month paid placement to work within our company as a stepping stone. Nominations are only from our own staff and the programme is already up and running with two new members having joined the company and who are already making their mark. We mentor and support them to ensure they gain in confidence and that all important experience of working within a business environment.
Our participation reflects our colleagues social responsibility opinions and aspirations and the communities we serve in a number of different ways including expertise and employee time given free of charge and covered by the business; as well as through financial support and donations for charitable causes which we all believe meet and match our values. Each year specifics are agreed in the areas of social events, community and charitable giving.
This year we have already been involved in the recent Shropshire based DIY SOS Big Build Programme which was filmed in Shropshire in February with us providing site machinery equipment and the time and skills of our Property team.
We pledge to constantly improve the management of our environmental impact. We work with our partners to promote environmental care and increase our understanding of environmental issues pertinent to our business. Each of our operations has developed effective environmental management systems which comply with all applicable environmental law and regulations and are relevant to their business fields.
Working with Morris Property has been stress free and a pleasure. They have been extremely professional and helpful throughout the whole process. We are now just waiting to finalise the letting and we can’t wait to move into the new premises. The location is fantastic and will provide easy access for our customers and staff.
Ian Beaver, Shropshire Building Supplies
I have found Morris property very easy to deal with right from the very start with our initial enquiry. The interior build plan was authorised within a very short timescale, and Morris Property were most accommodating in helping us to achieve our end result. Nothing was too much trouble, right through to the legal process. It is always extremely helpful to deal with an organisation that is customer focused and eager to please. We look forward to a long term relationship. Thank you Morris Property and team.

We were given a blank canvas and a totally flexible unit to meet our business needs. Vanguard’s cutting edge, professional and high impact design fits with our needs to be seen as market leader.
Robin East, Director CMYUK
From our very first dealings with Morris Property, we have found them really easy to work—helpful, flexible and quick to respond. The people we have dealt with have genuinely taken the time to understand our requirements and openly discuss options and alternatives.
A further factor in our decision to move offices into Abbey Lawn is the obvious pride that Morris has in the development as a whole. They aren’t just interested in providing great working space but the full working environment.

We needed good transport links and a convenient location with parking so customers can visit our premises to collect their orders and pick their own produce. Centurion Business park was ideal for this.
My partner Haydn and I set up Handy Veg earlier this year, one of the most important things we considered when setting up the company was location which is why we chose Centurion Park

We established our offices in Abbey Lawn due to its ideal location for employees and clients, and Morris Property have been exceptionally accommodating as our company has grown in size, needing a much larger office in the same location. We really can't fault them, they are a pleasure to work with.
